Cartoons. I blame Disney mostly. I grew up with cartoons like Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, Goof Troop, and the like. Although my first furry encounter was with the Thundercats, the bulk of my exposure was the afternoon cartoons. Later I moved onto Minerva Mink, Renamon, and of course Pokemon. Then there were all the cartoon movies and I guess it was just over exposure to such cuddly creatures that got me into the whole furry thing.
