If rainbow dash had not pulled off the rainboom. Twilight would have failed her test, spike wouldn't be born yet, pinkie would farm rocks, applejack would have lost the farm to flimflam since they never would have had to go overdrive

Rarity probably would have eventually gotten that rock open or got lead to gems somewhere else.

Applejack likely would have gone home eventually, and lost the farm later. If she didn't big mac couldn't have farmed everything alone. Especially that year he got hurt.

Twilight wouldn't have been celestia's student or had access to her personal library. Magic could have still happened and gotten her mark.

Fluttershy probably would have suicided without her animal friends for support if losing that race didn't change rainbow dash (It likely wouldn't have)

Rainbow dash probably ended up the same, just no mark or much later.

Without twilight and all. Celestia would have had to kill nightmare moon unless her new student got the elements. Without the elements being awakened discords stone prison may not have weakened so soon. Not being celestia's student, twilight may have never met cadence and cadence may have never met shining armor. So the changling infestation may or may not have happened. Or with twilight never having left, she might have protected him from a weak chrysalis before she did any feeding.

The show could work even if rainbow dash never pulled off the first rainboom. Only it would be a lot darker.



I don't even know how applebloom would have turned out without applejack there to raise her.

Zecora may have never found any friends and just moved on

The cmc wouldn't have met at the party, without pinkie there, there would be no party. But they may have forumed up at school.

Without applejack around later sweetie and rarity would still hate each other. Even if applejack had stayed, later on when she lost the medals she may have been too ashamed to return to ponyville. If not she'd be gone later when the farm was lost. They might have lost the farm when she was too stubborn to ask the town for help anyway.

None of the ponies would have gone to the gala without twilight being celestia's student and spike to deliver the tickets. Rarity possibly would still have a crush on blueblood. Rainbow dash wouldn't have met spitfire until season two and they would have failed to get the water up to cloudsdale without fluttershy. Possibly ruining her chances with spitfire.

Also rainbow dash would have failed the cloudsdale event and been a laughing stock yet again.

The show's lessons would often be about not being good enough and accepting yourself or your place in life.

It could actually be pretty good, like rainbow dash dealing with fluttershy's suicide/depression and taking revenge on the bullies. Pinkie learning to smile in a life that offers no joy, rarity learning to be happy with only small successes, rainbow dash learning she's just average,

twilight idk what would happen to twilight honestly she wouldn't have had all that stress to impress and like magic kindergarden should would have failed magic again, applejack might learn after losing to flimflam the old ways don't cut it anymore, she also wouldn't have friends to cheer her up each time she failed. If flimflam stayed, all the farming may have been turned steampunk and as an earth pony farmer she'd have no place. Without the farm, no money either.

Applejack and family would probably moved to appleloosa or to the town she ran to as a filly.

If you want to be edgy, without money from the farm. Granny smith could have died early from no medical care.

The lesson of the episode could be about dealing with feeling helpless because you are too poor to help anyone, and/or finding faith in a cruel world. Or letting go.

Also center around what happened to applejacks parents with flash backs.

It could have been an extremely emo 1-2 part episode.
