Until luna found an equal. A pony that loved sex as much as she did. That needed it constantly to make her feel complete.

A pony that was a failed experiment celestia made to replace luna so she didn't have to raise both the moon and the sun every 24 hours.

Made using some of nightmare moon's dna and some filler to replace that which was destroyed by the powerful magic used to seal her away. She had all of luna's lust, but not her soul.

Insead of a soul she had an endless hole and only a fraction of luna's powers. She could not control the moon, but like luna she could transform and like luna she could create minions like luna's spiders and bat ponies to serve her.

Once celestia knew it was her, she teleported the sleeping luna away. So that the two might never meet once the attack began.
