OOps, sorry.

The object's coordinate plane must go through the visual center. Otherwise you can't relate the different objects' vanishing points to each other.

So: objects' vanishing points have to be the same distance apart, and their horizon lines go through the same point. Otherwise you can grid them out however you like.
